🌐 TERMS OF SERVICE

Welcome to Swoplet! By using our site or app, you’re agreeing to follow these terms — kind of like a vibe check, but legally binding. If you browse, make an account, buy, sell, trade, or bid in an auction, you’re saying “yep, I’m cool with this.”

1. Your Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Use Swoplet in a real, honest, non-chaotic way
     
  • Provide accurate info when you create your account
     
  • Only upload photos/descriptions of items that are yours and legit
     
  • Follow all local laws (we’re not babysitting you, respectfully)
     

2. Platform Responsibilities

We run the platform, but we’re not responsible for:

  • What users post
     
  • What users ship
     
  • What users say
     
  • Or anything you lose by ignoring your own judgment
     

We do our best to keep the community safe, but Swoplet is not liable for disputes, scams, ghosting, item quality, shipping issues, or financial losses caused by other users. You use the app at your own risk — like every marketplace.

3. Account Safety

If you:

  • act fraudulent
     
  • harass people
     
  • misrepresent items
     
  • spam
     
  • or break community rules
     

…we can suspend or shut down your account with zero drama.

4. Limitations

Swoplet is offered as-is. We can't guarantee perfect uptime, perfect accuracy, or perfect transactions — but we do care and will help where we can.

By continuing to use the platform, you're agreeing that Swoplet isn’t responsible for indirect damages, emotional damage, heartbreak, friendship breakups, missing packages, or lost bids.


💸 RETURN & REFUND POLICY

Swoplet is a peer-to-peer marketplace. That means:
You’re buying from real people, not from us.

1. All sales are final

Because items are pre-owned and listed by users, we do not offer returns for:

  • fit issues
     
  • “I changed my mind” moments
     
  • color differences due to lighting
     
  • normal wear-and-tear
     
  • or “it looked different in my imagination”
     

2. When refunds are possible

We may issue a refund if:

  • An item never ships and the seller goes MIA
     
  • The item is proven counterfeit or totally not what was listed
     
  • There is verified fraud
     

3. Disputes

Disputes must be opened within 48 hours of confirmed delivery.
After that, we close the case — not because we’re harsh, but because evidence disappears fast.

4. Shipping issues

Lost packages with no tracking fall on the sender.
Lost packages with tracking depend on the carrier’s policies.
We’ll assist, but we can’t magically pull your package out of the void.

🛍️ SELLER POLICY

When you list items on Swoplet, you’re agreeing to be a trustworthy human.
Here’s what that means:

1. Accuracy is non-negotiable

Your photos, descriptions, and condition ratings must be:

  • honest
     
  • real
     
  • recent
     
  • and not AI-generated unless clearly stated
     

No catfishing… but for clothes.

2. Ship on time

Once something sells or is traded:

  • ship promptly
     
  • add real tracking
     
  • package items in a clean, respectful way
     

3. No funny business

You may not:

  • sell fakes
     
  • list items you don’t own
     
  • ghost buyers
     
  • cancel orders repeatedly
     
  • use stock photos
     
  • misrepresent size/condition/brand
     

We can suspend or remove any seller who violates policies.

4. Taxes

You’re responsible for any taxes or income reporting required in your area.
We can’t guide you individually — we’re not the IRS.

🤝 COMMUNITY GUIDELINES

Swoplet is built on good energy.
To keep it fun, safe, and drama-free, you agree to:

1. Be respectful

No bullying, harassment, threats, name-calling, or passive-aggressive vibes.
This includes in messages, listings, comments, and user profiles.

2. Keep it PG-13

No adult content, explicit images, or anything inappropriate.

3. No illegal items

This includes stolen goods, knockoffs, hazardous stuff, or anything banned in your region.

4. No scams

Don’t ask people to take transactions off-platform, and don’t manipulate pricing, bidding, or shipping.

5. Be a reliable human

Communicate clearly.
Don’t ghost people mid-transaction.
Don’t do bait-and-switch.

Violations can lead to account warnings or removal.
We want this community to feel safe, inclusive, and stylish.


📦 SHIPPING & TRADING RULES

1. Ship quickly

Use the shipping window shown at checkout.
Delays without communication = not cool.

2. Use real tracking

You must provide valid, working tracking numbers.
Fake or reused tracking = instant suspension.

3. Pack items properly

Keep things clean, folded, protected, and non-gross.

4. Accuracy matters

The item you send must match:

  • the photos
     
  • the description
     
  • the condition rating
     

No surprises unless they’re cute freebies.

5. Trades

For trades:

  • both parties mail items
     
  • both must provide tracking
     
  • both must communicate openly
     
  • both must accept mutual responsibility
     

6. Lost packages

If a package has no tracking, the sender takes the loss.
If a package has tracking, we follow the carrier’s investigation.
Swoplet will help, but we aren’t liable for carrier mistakes.
